About the work:

The staircase winds its way up between the walls of the houses, twisting and turning before disappearing from view. You can’t see the top; you lose track of where it’s leading. The atmosphere is that of a white labyrinth. It is the path leading up from Livadi to Chora, but one could easily lose one’s way here. No two steps are alike, the bare stone glistening in the sun. The line drawing captures this uncertainty, this path that vanishes after the bend. One can almost feel the weariness of a never-ending climb, amidst the silence of the walls.
