About the work:

Between two houses, a view opens up towards the mountains. One wall is bathed in brilliant light, the other is plunged into shadow. In the distance, the mountains cut across the horizon beneath the midday sun. The drawing plays on the contrasts between the blinding white, the shadows and the dark mass of the mountain. One can feel the intense, still heat that crushes the stones and freezes the landscape. The whole captures that suspended moment when only the shadow still seems to breathe.
