About the work:

From the Castro, the gaze sweeps down the slope, glides over the white houses clinging to the rock, all the way to the shimmering sea. The bay opens up, dotted with nonchalant sailboats and a massive, motionless ferry. Coves carve up the coastline. Out to sea, the islands can be dimly made out, hazy, as if breathing in the mist. The light carves out the shadows, the wind seems suspended. Everything is balance, weight and lightness.
