About the work:

The street plunges into the twilight, then emerges into the sunlight. A succession of arcades punctuates the walk. The pencil drawing plays with contrasts, emphasising the shadows and lightly touching the light. A work that captures the unique atmosphere of Italian alleyways, where the warmth of the day gradually gives way to the cool of the evening.
