About the work:

In the Chora of Naxos, a footpath runs beneath a house through a vaulted passageway. A staircase typical of the Cyclades leads up to the house, its stone steps outlined by light and shadow. The line drawing plays on mysterious contrasts: flashes of white, dark corners, passages that one senses without seeing. You pass through the darkness of the passageway, then the street reappears, bathed in intense light. The whole scene captures the strangeness of this intimate path, where every wall seems to hold a secret.
