About the work:

The absence of a parapet gives the Ponte Chiodo an airy, almost fragile appearance. The steps seem to float towards the opposite bank, supported by the non-existent railing. The pencil sketch highlights the elegance of the arch and the rough texture of the stones in the neighbouring buildings. In the distance, a stretch of canal, a façade, a pale sky. A work that celebrates the simple boldness of an extraordinary Venetian bridge.
